This is the real AquaVista demo, running right here. Click a rack, change the overlay, press play. All readings are simulated.

(The brief)

A membrane water-treatment plant produces thousands of readings an hour: flow, turbidity, pressure, permeability, rack by rack. The people who run it were looking at all of it in spreadsheets and trend screens that told them something was wrong, but not where.

We built AquaVista to agree on the product before writing the production system. It is a working model of the plant, not a slide deck: six racks of modules, the feed and permeate pipework, pumps, tanks and the blower, all drawn in 3D and coloured by whatever the engineer is worried about today.

Everything runs from one file that opens in any browser with no installation and no internet, so it could be passed around the client's team and tried on a laptop, a tablet or a phone the same afternoon.

(What we built)
  • Interactive 3D schematic of the plant: rotate, zoom, isometric and top views, click any rack to inspect it.
  • Five overlays (flow, turbidity, removal, pressure, permeability) that recolour the model and its labels.
  • A 48-hour timeline you can play, scrub or jump through from any chart; the model, charts and alerts move together.
  • Side-by-side comparison of up to three racks, with CSV export of exactly what is on screen.
  • Scenarios for normal running, fouling, backwash and a failed sensor, so the team can rehearse the bad days.
  • A two-minute guided tour and a presentation mode for showing it in meetings.
  • Layouts for desktop, tablet and phone, and full keyboard control.
